2 New Resources for Teachers giving DLM Assessments!


The Public Broadcasting station in Iowa and the Iowa Department of Education developed ELA videos that are 1-3 minutes in length.   • Develop a comprehensive implementation program for the delivery of universal core vocabulary instruction and augmentative communication supports using the multi-tiered system for augmenting language.
  • Teach students with significant cognitive disabilities and complex communication needs to use symbols included on augmentative communication systems to communicate with a variety of people for a variety of needs.
  •  Included are 14 modules explaining Core Vocabulary.
  • FREE to download core vocabulary communication systems.

    Dr. Karen Erickson at the Center for Literacy and Disabilities at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill developed Core Vocabulary. Students can use Core Vocabulary year after year in many different environments for their communication system.
