Long Range Goals

TRI-COUNTY SPECIAL EDUCATION

LONG RANGE GOALS

  • Improve district interlocal performance levels on the state's targeted goals as measured by the Levels of Determination accounting system employed by the Kansas State Department of Education (i.e., graduation rate, dropout rate, state assessment.)
  • Performance for Reading/Math, Least Restrictive Environment, disproportionality,etc. Periodic overviews towards progress will occur throughout the school year as updated data is acquired.
  • Continue to develop and implement initiatives that will help recruit retain highly qualified professionals/paraeducators. Progress will be reported biannually.
  • Continue to provide a high quality of staff development. Progress to be reported monthly.
  • Work collaboratively with each of the agency's districts in developing and implementing a system wide Multi-Tiered System of Support in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Kansas State Department of Education. Progress will be reported biannually.
  • Continue to expand early childhood initiatives that are coordinated with multi agency resources at the community level for each of Tri-County's participating school districts. Progress will be reported biannually.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance student performance utilizing best practices in progress monitoring. Progress will be reported biannually.
