Popup Blocker and Toolbar Help

Follow the directions below to edit your pop up blocker settings on your browser. Google, MSN, and Yahoo Toolbars should be uninstalled from your computer. Please contact your local building or Tri-County technology support staff if you need assistance uninstalling these programs.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer:

In the Tools Menu select Popup Blocker->Pop up Blocker Settings

Type the  Address of website to allow: http://webform.tricounty607.com:8002

Select the Add Button

It should appear in Allowed sites: as webform.tricounty607.com

Select Close

OR

You can turn off the popup blocker

Open Internet Explorer:

In the Tools Menu select Popup Blocker->Pop up Blocker Settings

Firefox

Firefox without added toolbars is recommended for the web based IEP program. It can be downloaded from http://www.firefox.com

Open the Tools Menu

Select Options

Select  Content Tab

Select  Exceptions button

bullet

Type the Address of website to allow: http://webform.tricounty607.com:8002

Select the Allow button

It should appear in Allowed sites: as webform.tricounty607.com Status: Allow

Select Close

Toolbars

bullet

Select Start (bottom left of screen)

Select Settings

bullet

Select Control Panel

bullet

Select Add or Remove Programs

To change or remove a program Open Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Click Change or Remove Programs, and then click the program you want to  remove.

Close the Control Panel when the program has been uninstalled

Preventing toolbars from being installed
Many toolbars are installed when updating programs such as Adobe Reader, Java, Shockwave, etc. You have the option to uncheck a box to prevent toolbars from being installed. Many times toolbars are installed without the user knowledge. Check you computers occasionally and uninstall any toolbars.
