Intro & Send Text to Computer Document

To use portable device:

Turn on the AlphaSmart

Open a new file by choosing and pressing one of the File keys on the top row of the keyboard (ex:  File1, File2, File3)

Begin typing your document (the AlphaSmart will automatically save your work, there is no need to save it, even if you accidentally power off the unit)

When you are ready to print your document:

Turn on computer

Plug one end of the USB cable in the AlphaSmart Neo and the flat USB end into a USB port on the computer.

Turn on the AlphaSmart

A message will pop up on the computer that tells you the Alphasmart is now acting as the computer’s keyboard.

Open up Microsoft Word (or any word processing program)

Once you have a new document open in Microsoft Word, open the file you want on the AlphaSmart Neo  (ex: File1, File2, File3)

Press the “Send” button on the AlphaSmart Neo

The document should automatically import into Microsoft Word on the computer.  You can now edit your document and print to any printer.  No printer driver needed!
